Michelle Hatch
Biography
Michelle Hatch is a Principal Human Factors Engineer at Genentech (Roche), specializing in medical devices. With 10 years of experience in healthcare, Michelle has a proven track record of incorporating the user experience into medical device design.

Michelle began her medical device career at Medivators (acquired by Steris) where she worked on both the design and human factors efforts for the Scope Buddy™ Plus Endoscope Flushing Aid. After falling in love with the human-device interface aspect of product design, she developed expertise in combination products at Genentech, working on a range of drug preparation and delivery devices.

Michelle has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Masters of Engineering from Penn State, and recently completed her MBA for Executives from Yale School of Management. Michelle enjoys travelling (ask about her recent sabbatical), hiking with her dog, and trying new activities like playing rugby on the Yale graduate student team.
