Erica combines her strong foundation in biomedical engineering with deep expertise in design research to develop meaningful healthcare solutions that empower users and deliver measurable value. As a Senior Design Researcher at Insight by Nemera, she leverages human-centered research methodologies to uncover opportunities for innovation, grounded in a holistic understanding of user needs, technological feasibility, and business strategy. Erica's experience spans the entire medical device development lifecycle—from early-stage research and ideation to validation and regulatory approval. Acting as a vital bridge between end users, design, and business teams, she ensures that user needs remain central to decision-making throughout the product development process. Erica holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arizona and an MS in Engineering Design Innovation from Northwestern University.
