Biography
Hetal Khatri is a highly experienced human factors specialist with over 10 years of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her extensive work in human factors, user-centered design, and usability testing, with a particular focus on the development of drug delivery devices. Currently, Hetal works for Ionis Pharmaceuticals, where she continues to apply her expertise to improve device design and optimize patient safety.
For the past four years, Hetal has concentrated her efforts on optimizing device design for drug delivery systems, ensuring that both clinicians and patients can use these devices safely and effectively. She has worked across the full product development lifecycle—from gathering user needs and conducting human factors research to executing user validation testing—helping to ensure that products meet regulatory standards and improve overall user experience.
With a strong foundation in human factors engineering, Hetal has supported a wide range of initiatives aimed at improving patient safety and reducing medical errors. Her expertise includes designing intuitive, user-friendly medical devices that align with the cognitive and physical capabilities of healthcare professionals and patients.
