Divya Krishnakumar is a third year MD/MPH student at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where she is part of the Patient Centered Medicine Scholars program. Divya has been a part of the Systems-based Approach for Enhancing Teamwork (SAFE-T) Lab since 2019. In her time as a research assistant, she has worked on projects regarding inter-professional education for non-invasive ventilation, the impact of culture on psychological safety in healthcare teams, complex healthcare clinics, and teamwork in colorectal cancer screenings. She is also the co-founder of Blood Buds, a campus-based organization where she advocates for menstrual equity, educates students on sustainable menstruation, and researches period poverty.
