Shelby is a Senior Staff Human Factors Engineer at Stryker. She specializes in applying human factors theory to real-world challenges, with a focus on human-automation interaction and trust. She leverages both qualitative and quantitative methods to assess human performance in complex systems, including AR/VR/XR devices, robotics, and decision support tools, across industries such as healthcare, military, and home support. Her work also involves developing tailored solutions for diverse populations, including older adults and expert users. Shelby holds a BS in Psychology from Georgia Tech and an MS and PhD in Human Factors Psychology with a certificate in Modeling and Simulation Engineering from Old Dominion University.
