Biography
Dr. Samantha Bernstein, PhD, RNC-OB is assistant professor and co-director of prelicensure nursing programs at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.
She teaches Nursing of the Childbearing Family in the accelerated BSN and direct-entry masters programs and is a nurse-scientist researching maternal morbidity and mortality through the lens of human factors and patient safety. Sam is certified in inpatient obstetrics, is an internationally board-certified lactation consultant, and is a Certified Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Leader. She serves on the Editorial Board of MCN: The American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing and is a reviewer for Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing and Nursing for Women’s Health.
