Anthony Bierschenk is a senior undergraduate student at Texas Tech University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. He is currently an intern at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the IDEAS Lab, working to develop innovative medical technology to better equip medical professionals. In addition to this role, Anthony conducts research in the Medicine, Mechanics, and Manufacturing Design Lab at TTU, collaborating with TTU Health Science Center staff to research, develop, and improve upon existing medical technologies. Outside of his research, Anthony is an active advocate for engineering student success and acts as an ambassador for the Whitacre College of Engineering at Texas Tech and as a supplemental instructor within the Mechanical Engineering department. Anthony’s dedication to medical device research as well as uplifting and expanding access to engineering education drives his professional aspirations.
