Lisa Fucito

Biography
Lisa Fucito, PhD is an associate professor of psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine, director of the Tobacco Treatment Service at Smilow Cancer Hospital, and a PI or co-PI on several NIH research series awards including two R01s. Her research focuses on 1) better understanding and predicting lifestyle risk behaviors (substance use, deficient sleep, physical inactivty); 2) phenotyping risk variability within individuals; 3) developing novel interventions that are tailored to these unique risk profiles; and 4) implementing lifestyle risk behavior/mental health screening and intervention in clinical settings. She is particularly interested in PGHD from digital health technology. She utilizes various technologies including biosensors, smartphones, social media, telehealth, and electronic health record tools to assess these behaviors and related risks, derive integrated biometric feedback, deliver interventions, and improve healthcare access.
