Dr. Matthew B. Weinger, holds the Norman Ty Smith Chair in Patient Safety and Medical Simulation and is a Professor of Anesthesiology, Biomedical Informatics, and Medical Education at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is an internationally recognized researcher and educator in patient safety, human factors engineering, and medical simulation. He has published >200 peer-reviewed articles and given >250 invited presentations. Dr. Weinger has been the PI on 15 federal research grants. He is a Fellow of the HFES and of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
