Leah Thorp is the Director, Education & Research within Maternal and Children’s Provincial Program. As a Métis Registered Nurse from Treaty 4 territory and homeland of the Métis, she resides in Regina SK in a provincial role for the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Leah is a key leader partnering with system leaders and providing strategic visioning and leadership within women's, maternal and child health. The Knowledge Mobilization Unit team supports provincial knowledge translation embedding implementation science and evaluation through initiatives related to service delivery planning, educational programs, clinical standards, quality improvement, and research. It is her strong belief that the most important member of the team is the people we serve and concentrating on healthcare provider knowledge, abilities, and behaviors will contribute to quality care.
