Denise Gallagher
Biography
Denise Gallagher earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, and went on to pursue her law degree at Whittier College in Orange County, CA. After practicing in employment law she transitioned to a role in academic personnel at UCLA. At UCLA she worked in the Executive Deans' Office managing faculty appointments and promotions for the Humanities Division.
In 2011 she came to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to manage the implementation of the professorial structure. And in 2013 she began managing the Office of Faculty Development and Diversity. This role was instrumental in beginning important work on diversity and inclusion for Cedars-Sinai faculty. In 2019 she was promoted to Program Manager within the newly created Office of Diversity and Inclusion for the Cedars-Sinai Health System. And in 2023 she took on the role of Manger of Diversity and Inclusion on the Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing team. Her current role involves managing D&I work across the organization.
She is the proud mom to Catherine (11) and Brian (6), and one fur baby, Bridget a very precocious Corgi.
