Biography
Dr. Osnat Bashkin is a senior lecturer at the Department of Public Health at the Ashkelon Academic College in Israel. She completed her PhD in Human Factors Engineering at Ben-Gurion University, investigating the role of Human Factors Engineering in the safety of radiology units. Before joining the Ashkelon Academic College in 2014, Dr. Bashkin worked at Tel-Aviv Medical Center as a researcher in the performance assessment unit. In her post-doctoral work at the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine of Lausanne, she compared diabetes trends and risk factors among older Europeans. In her research, Dr. Bashkin focuses on analyzing and designing health systems, human and organizational factors involved in quality, risks, and safety in healthcare, and users' interaction, experience, and acceptance of digital health tools.
