Michelle Lai is a 4th year Industrial Engineering undergraduate at the University of Toronto specializing in Human Factors. Within the Safety, Equity & Design Lab, Michelle has conducted research on the application of extended reality (XR) tools on enhancing the quality of informed consent process within healthcare. Currently, she is conducting usability research for a mobile application aiming to educate pediatric patients prior to surgical procedures and anesthesia.
