Tabitha Chiu, BEng, MHSc, is the Human Factors Manager at Sinai Health System in Toronto, Canada, where she has worked for six years, embedding human factors principles within the hospital environment. With over a decade of experience, she leads a team of senior specialists, collaborating with frontline staff and operational teams to enhance patient and staff safety through risk analysis, space and process design, and technology implementation. Tabitha has also consulted in healthcare human factors for other hospitals in Ontario, including Michael Garron Hospital and the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health. She has worked with multinational medical device companies through Healthcare Human Factors at University Health Network. Her work focuses on safety reviews, operational improvements, and integrating medical technologies in clinical settings.
