Brett Dodd
Biography
Brett Dodd is a highly-experienced healthcare professional with a passion for education and simulation-based learning. He currently serves as the Simulation Associate Director for the Department of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, Brett collaborates with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to create education and scenarios to reduce bias in healthcare. He develops and oversees all simulation education programs, ensuring that they meet corporate accreditation standards and working with subject matter experts to ensure their effectiveness. Brett is also responsible for managing and executing course financial budgets to produce positive revenue streams.
As the liaison with Resident/Fellowship Program Directors, Faculty, Clinical Staff, Simulation Education Committee, and other hospital-wide committees and staff, Brett is involved in developing and implementing simulation-based education and programs. He plans, manages, and executes all Simulation-related conferences and all other revenue-generating simulation programs. Additionally, Brett implements system-wide strategies in relation to simulation-based education working with internal and external stakeholders.
With his extensive experience in healthcare and education, Brett is committed to improving patient care through innovative and effective simulation-based learning.
