Biography
Dr. Tracy L. Mitzner is Founder and Principal Research Scientist at Person in Design, a consulting firm specializing in leveraging scientific research to drive technology design for older adults, including those with disabilities. She has over 20 year of experience
conducting research in technology design and aging. Her research topics include older adults' acceptance and usage of emerging technologies (mobile applications, health monitoring, telepresence, robotics), particularly for applications to facilitate social and
physical wellness. She is an investigator for the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Technologies to Support Aging among People with Long-Term Disabilities (RERC TechSAge; www.TechSAgeRERC.org). Dr. Mitzner has authored 37 peer-reviewed
journal publications, 6 book chapters, and over 100 conference presentations.
