Melinda Jamil
Biography
Melinda Jamil has 20 years of experience in human factors research and user-centered design across health technology, in-vehicle transportation safety and aviation. Currently she is the Human Factors Engineering Director at Advocate Health, a large not-for-profit, integrated health system based in Chicago, Milwaukee and Charlotte. Melinda works with clinical informaticists, patient safety managers, simulation specialists, and clinical team members to investigate system issues and design solutions to improve patient and teammates' safety, effectiveness and well-being. Melinda earned a BS in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University and MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, both with concentrations in Human Factors Engineering and Ergonomics.
