Michael Orduz is a Senior Human Factors Specialist with Emergo by UL’s Human Factors Research & Design (HFR&D) team. He has been with the team since February 2020. He has experience delivering HFE services to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. As a Senior Human Factors Specialist, Michael is involved in developing usability test protocols, managing participant recruiting efforts, conducting human factors research (including usability tests), and developing reports that satisfy regulators’ expectations. Michael also serves as one of the HFR&D team’s Quality Management System leaders. He holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Florida International University, as well as, an M.S. in Bioengineering and a graduate certificate in Human Factors in Medical Devices and Systems from Tufts University.
