Biography
Kathleen Insel, Ph.D., R.N., is professor in the College of Nursing, Associate Director for Strategy and Development for the Arizona Center on Aging and former Director of the strategic initiative, Innovations in Healthy Aging at the University of Arizona. Dr. Insel’s research focuses on cognitive function over the lifespan, specifically executive function and working memory and implications for self-management of chronic disease, symptom management, and among children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, on school achievement. The purpose of this funded line of inquiry is to support the continued independence of older adults thus impacting quality of life, and among children, to support school achievement.
