SE2 - Exploring Cognitive Workload Measurements in Simulation-Based Learning Scenarios
SessionPoster Session 2
DescriptionThis poster presents a recent effort to equip a stressful, “spooky” emergency response simulation experience with cognitive and mental workload measurements. Simulation-based learning experiences may benefit from the integration of quantitative and scenario-contextualized measurements of cognitive workload into formative debriefing facilitation. This work focuses on how existing clinical simulation-based learning outcomes and critical scenario evaluation and refinement can benefit from deliberate integration of qualitative and quantitative workload measurements. The poster shares emerging findings that test the integration of cognitive workload measurement throughout simulation based learning experiences.
